Biography.
If you ask Ren, she will tell you she had a great childhood. A few months after her birth her mother all but handed her off to her maternal grandmother and the next ten years were spent in a loving home. Ren's grandmother spoiled her rotten but instilled good morals in her granddaughter. Ren grew up with a very large heart but a somewhat fanciful idea of what was happening around her.

Shortly after her tenth birthday her grandmother passed away from cancer and Ren returned to the care of her parents. It was a less than happy reunion and Ren was soon met with the reality that her mother and her were not going to have the same kind of relationship she had had with her grandma. The stress of which put quite the strain on her.

Junior high and high school brought about a different Ren, almost unrecognizable from the energetic and outgoing child she had been. She kept her head down and did not participate in social events, opting instead to work her ass off with the hopes of winning her mother's approval. Her attempts were fruitless and their lack of a relationship worsened as the years passed until Ren was eighteen, when her mother would vanish for months at a time with no word to Ren or her father.

With her mother out of the house more and more often, Ren's father began to attempt to rebuild their relationship but his own alcoholism caused Ren to not trust or depend on him emotionally. Instead the man showed his affection with money and gifts, leaving Ren to feel like an obligation and even more bitter about her father who had essentially been a silent onlooker her entire life.

Her nervousness worsened and soon led to agoraphobic tendencies. After two years of struggling to keep a social life and go to school without suffering frequent anxiety attacks, Ren was on the verge of throwing in the towel until her therapist suggested some community service for her and helped her make arrangements to work part time at a retirement home.

during her time there, Ren met a lot of interesting characters and their families, hearing about many different walks of life and forming close bonds with many of the patients she would see regularly and some of their family members. One woman in particular had a big impact on her. Ren would spend hours with her, reading and talking about music and her colorful life traveling around the world. They would talk about their families and their friends and fashion, anything and everything under the sun.

Her brief friendship with the woman inspired Ren to make serious changes in her life and soon she began to take large steps in improving her situation. She began taking her therapy more seriously and pushing herself to bounce back. Eventually, she moved to New York to attend college and try and 'find herself'.

During her time in New York her father and her began to speak more frequently and soon began to finally rebuild their relationship when he admitted his fear of losing her after she mentioned wanting to find a job and support herself entirely without his help. Though she made close friendships and grew a lot as a person, she realized that it had been too large of a bound and that she needed to return home and regain her footing. Once back in the newly comforting walls of her father's home, Ren began shadowing event planners and getting experience while attending community college and eventually training and getting her license.

Planning required even more changes from Ren, but she adapted and soon began to experience things she hadn't before. She traveled for her job and learned to be more relaxed and let herself have fun. Though the hours are long and planning can be hectic, having the daily obligations has helped her reach a pretty healthy place in her life. Soon after establishing herself as a planner and becoming more confident in herself and her independence, she relocated to Maine so she could continue planning and focus on other projects of interest.
